MILES, Charles Henry Born Sept. 18, 1926, in Fort Smith, Ark. Passed away March 3, 2011, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up in Oklahoma City, Okla. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 17 years. Charles had the opportunity to go to Germany, Korea and Japan. He enjoyed hunting, wood working, gardening and computers. His special accomplishments were being a fantastic husband, father, grandfather, friend, confident and mentor. He received Christ as his Savior. Survived by his wife Melba Miles, sons Michael Miles of Oklahoma City, Okla., Edward Hinds of Tacoma, Wash., John C. Hinds (Lois) of Summersville, Mo., Anthony P. Hinds (Pam) of El Centro, Calif., daughters Charlene Gafford of Texas, Patricia M. Lee of Lancaster, Calif., 15 grandchildren Shawn Johnson, Tracy Johnson, Lynett A. McLaughin, Patricia Shelton, Kyro Grooms, Nellie Hinds, Aaron Hinds, Eddie Hinds, David C. Hinds, Joseph Ramin, Tuhan Hinds, Kali Hinds, Angelica Hinds, John Hinds, Evette Hinds, 46 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great- grandchildren, and sister Billy Marie Allen. Preceded in death by his mother Marie Russell of Arkansas, father Leo Miles of Texas. Arrangements entrusted to Halley- Olsen-Murphy Funerals & Cremations , Lancaster, Calif.
