MONSON, William B. Born August 7, 1928, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He lost his battle with lung cancer on March 2, 2011, in his home in Pearblossom, Calif. A long-time resident of Pearblossom, William and his wife Elizabeth just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. They have 6 children, 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. William was a Master Mason and 32nd degree Scottish Rite. He was an active member in the Shrine Karts, and belonged to the Al Malaikah Shrine. William was an avid fisherman and golfer. He retired from Northrup in 1993. William was preceded in death by his youngest son, John Monson and youngest daughter, Sue Robinson. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at the Palmdale Masonic Lodge #769 F & AM. Interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
