DUDLEY, JACK YOUMANS RET SGT U
DUDLEY, Jack Youmans Ret. Sgt USAF Born February 8, 1935, entered eternal life on February 17, 2011, in Lancaster. He was the fifth of five children born to Elbert and Lucile Dudley in Columbus, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Joe Riley Dudley and Jesse Elbert Dudley; and his sisters Kathryn Head an Lucile Lewis. He is survived by Virginia (Ginn), his wife and soul-mate of forty-one years; his beloved son Jack Jr., his wife Janice, and their children, Kevin, Laura, and Brian of Los Alamitos, California who brightened his final days; daughters Diane Dudley-Pittman, her husband Bob and their children Wanda, Amy, Jane, Robert and Roberta of Columbus, Georgia; Mary Ann Dudley and her children Melinda Robson, Kristie Nye, Dustin and David Campbell, Keenen Esslinger of Roswell, New Mexico. Upon completion of his military career, he was deemed disabled due to his exposure to Agent Orange while serving in Southeast Asia. He became an antique auto enthusiast and restored classic cars within his limitations. Jack will always be remembered for his patriotism, his kind and caring nature, his compassion and concern for his fellow man. He went to his grave mourning the death of his long time friend and fellow airman Frank Fish. Even on his deathbed his main concern was his wife and family. He was a life member of several organizations; Disabled American Veterans, VFW, American Legion, Fin and Feather Club and others. He also contributed to several organizations, including Vietnam Veterans, the Wounded Warriors, and many other charities. Services are pending.
