BLOCK, Mary Lou Born Dec. 26, 1927, in Lake Presto, S.D. Passed away January 26, 2011, in Lancaster, Calif. She grew up in De Smet, S.D. She has lived in the Antelope Valley for 50 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survived by her son Linn A. Block, daughters Lanette (Craig) Douglas, Lesa (Shane) Thomas, grandchildren Matthew, William, Trevor, Zachary, great-grandchildren Haleigh and Kinsley. Also survived by one brother George Pirlet. Preceded in death by her husband Eugene S. Block, son Lann Block, parents Desire and Louise Pirlet, 2 brothers Kenneth Pirlet and Dean Pirlet. Graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at Joshua Memorial Park, Lancaster, Calif. Arrangements entrusted to Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster.
