KLING, Richard Alexander Age 85. Born January 5, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y. Passed away January 16, 2011, in Lancaster, Calif., at AV Hospital. He has been a resident of Lancaster for 11 years. Richard served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946, and was Aerographers Mate Second Class. He received a Victory medal; American Theater Medal; Asiatic Pacific Medal. He received his B.S. degree from Rutgers University. He worked for General Electric (GE) for 18 years and Maritz Motivation for 24 years in Sales Motivation. He was in the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity (DKE) and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a great father. He taught us the meaning of a good work ethic. He was a man of impeccable integrity! He endured when others would have stopped and given up. He was a husband loving, thoughtful and kind to all. Richard is survived by his wife Peggy J. Kling of Lancaster, Calif., sister Constance Kling Herlihy of Brunswick, Maine, children, Jeffrey Alexander Kling of Phoenix, Ariz., Dr. Richard Walter Kling of Lancaster, Calif., Nancy-Jon Kling of Santa Cruz, Calif., David Scott Kling of Palmdale, Calif., Patricia Anne Ladjevic of Long Beach, Calif., 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife Lois Renee (Kloes) Kling. Viewing will be held at 9 a.m., with services beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary, Newhall.
