TUTON, Leona Marie (Thornton) Born November 13, 1923, in Springview, Nebraska. Passed away in Lancaster on January 4, 2011, at age 87. She and Dad came to California in 1949. Leona was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, LeRoy; her second husband Lew Thornton and her brothers Johnny and Rodney. She is survived by her children, Larry (Ella) of Phoenix, daughters Linda (Roy) of Lancaster, Rochelle Dowdell (Dave), Roberta Cuffe (Mike), six grandchildren, Cheryl Brothers, Brent Tuton, Kimberly Mauldin, Jeff Mauldin, Jacque Schultz, and Allison Lawley. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Leona worked for Weight Watchers for many years and was active in the Sunday School programs and choirs at Lancaster First Assembly of God Church. Services and interment will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster. Mom will be missed
