Age78, left this world quietly on November 24, 2010,to join her husband Jim and her only child Susan in Heaven. She was born on April 29, 1932, in Illinois. She is survived by her loving brother Victor Vaughn and his wife Opal, "Dean" to some "D" to others she is most known as Grama to her grandchildren Jennafyr Peterson and Sarah McPherson, as well as to her son-in-law Doug, uncles Dennis (Julie) McPherson and Gary (Paula) McPherson.Grama leaves behind a large extended family in Illinois, California, Iowa, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and her home in Mesa, Arizona. She was always our tower of strength in times of grief. "D" was an active member in Eastern Star until heath issues prevented full participation. After the passing of her beloved Susan, she devoted the rest of her life to living simply and enjoying the comfort of friends and family. "D" loved to travel and she and Doug traveled the highways many times to visit with family and friends.She will be laid to rest Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at11 a.m., atEternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, 23287 North Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA, 661-259-0800.
