ROUW, Leonard Christian Aug. 8, 1944 ~ Nov. 5, 2010 Lenny was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and moved to California in 1955. He was an Air Force Veteran, serving in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. After the military he became a police officer in the city of Inglewood, involved in the first Canine Unit with his dog Boris until 1983. Retiring from the police department Lenny became a U.S. Marshal for the Federal Court House in Los Angeles for ten years. In the last few years he worked as a customer service representative for Starwood Hotels. He lived in the Antelope Valley for over 30 years, always very active with Palmdale Little League and was a member of the American Legion, Moose and Elks Lodge. Lenny left behind his sister Denise Fabian, three daughters that were the light of his life: Cindy Weitz, Karen (Steve) Fields, and Debra (David) Shea, son Mike Rouw, two step- children: Timothy Paloney and Dawna Qualls, twelve grandchildren; Shannon, Jeremy, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Brittney, David, Gina, Tiffani, Molly, Zach, Parker and Addison, former son-in-law Scott. As well as many close life-long friends. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at 12 noon, Saturday, November 20, 2010, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 39546 23rd St. West, Palmdale, CA 93551. The family invites all to come celebrate Lenny's life.
