BRASHEAR, JR. LARRY LONE
Born Oct. 1, 1955, in Scotia, Calif. He grew up and attended school in Carmichael, Calif. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 15 years, working as a Equipment operator. Larry Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at the Lancaster home of his sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Johnny Lee Zamrzla on Oct. 25, 2010. He was visiting from his home in Redding, Calif., and helping out here with their daily ranch operations. Larry was an excellent mechanic and loved working on the trucks, tractors and other ranch equipment. During the Ante- BRASHEAR Jr., Larry Lone lope Valley Fair this year he helped out the arena crew for the Showdown rodeo but his favorite assignment was heading up the pit-crew for Payton Zamrzlas winning car in the Figure 8 races. He was proud of getting that car back on the track when it looked impossible. Larry endured some serious health issues the past few years but he never complained and he never lost his good natured outlook. He was loved and will be sincerely missed by his family and friends. Survived by his sons, Andrew and Nathan both of Redding, Calif., daughters Belinda of Joplin, Mo., Karina and Shelly both of Sacramento, Calif., and grandson Jadyn, parents Larry and Joyce Brashear Sr., of Redding, Calif., sister Jeanette Zamrzla of Lancaster, Calif., brother Tommy Brashear of Sacramento, Calif. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at McDonald Funeral Home, 1275 Continental Street, Redding, Calif., then proceeding to Cottonwood Cemetery. A local Memorial will be held in Lancaster, the time and place will be announced at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Halley- Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster. www.homlancaster.com
