BREWER, AMY LULA
BREWER, Amy Lula Born March 22, 1917, in Temple, Okla. Passed away October 5, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. She is survived by her two sons, David of the family home, Steven (Sharon) of Rosamond, Bertie Brewer of Palmdale the mother of her 3 grandchildren, Joey (Brenda) of Lancaster, Chris (Megan) of Mojave and Regina (Rich) of Palmdale, 6 great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Amy taught Bible School at the Palmdale Baptist Church from the 1950s into the 1990s. She worked on the Republican voters board on Election Day for many years. Her hobbies included; baking, knitting, creating clothing for her 3 grandchildren and caring for her cats. Amy loved being a grandmother. Her weekends were always filled with at least 1or 2 grandchildren plus a friend. She was the kind of grandma that walked in the desert to find rocks, ride her bike with you and taught you the basics of being a good person. She believed her grandchildren were a gift from God and was amazed that God gave her so many beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by everyone she came in contact with over her 93 years of life. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary with interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park both in Palmdale, Calif.
