CANGRO, John Benjamin born April 3, 1964, in Staten Island, N.Y. Passed away October 4, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. John grew up in Staten Island, N.Y. He went to school at Our Lady of Mount Carmel St. Benedicta, McKee High School and College of Staten Island. He has lived in the Antelope Valley since September, 1998. He was a Heating and Air Conditioning Mechanic in New York City, New York. John was a dedicated volunteer for the Quartz Hill Youth Sports Association. John was a huge Yankees, Giants, and Knicks fan and went out of his way to help everyone else. Survived by son John R. Cangro of Lancaster, Calif., daughter Julianna M. Cangro of Rosamond, Calif., mother Louise M. Cangro of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., sisters Theresa (Joe) Signorile, Louise Morgan, and Charles Maucere who was Johns uncle but was like a father to him. Services will be held October 16, 2010, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Staten Island, New York. There will be a Remembrance gathering at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at Lane Park in Quartz Hill, Calif. Arrangements entrusted to Antelope Valley Cremation Service, Lancaster and Hanley Funeral Home, Staten Island, New York. John loved his family very much and will be missed by all who knew him.
