HOLT, Helen Marie Lembka
Age 89, was born August 7, 1921, in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. She passed away October 1, 2010, in Lancaster, California. Helen has lived in the Antelope Valley since 1951, and participated in the pioneering of the Valley. Before retirement she worked for the Westside Union School District many years. Helen was a member of the Lancaster Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her by one son, and one daughter, Thomas Holt (Patricia) of Lancaster, Marie Tsutsui (Harry) of Corpus Christi, Texas, 17 grandchildren, Donna (Randy), Susan (Dave), Vicki (Eric), Amy, Lisa (John), Robert (Kristen), Jennifer (Dan), Karen, Debra, Sherri (Patrick), Michelle (Milton), Yvonne (Joe), Mike, Rochelle (Rick), Lorraine (Ronald), Neil (Crystal), Ilona, 30 great-grandchildren, and ten great- great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert Holt, one daughter and one son, Nancy and Jerrald Holt. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2010, with a visitation stating at 10 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1701 West Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster. Interment to follow at Joshua Memorial Park.
