EATON, George Donald of Lancaster, Calif., died on Sept. 22, 2010, at the Veterans Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. George was born on Sept. 21, 1927, in Santa Monica, Calif., to Walter and Edith Eaton. George was raised in Los Angeles, served in the United States Air Force and worked at Edwards Air Force Base for years. He was a disabled veteran with a very patriotic nature and many interests in life. He is survived by long time friends Fred Muller and Joann Nickerson and many many more friends. His many hobbies were skiing, boating, waterskiing, motorcycles, he also participated in Sports Car Rallies in the 1950s, radio controlled planes, photography, RVs, NASCAR, and his beloved cats. He was a long time member of the Westwood and Century City Ski Clubs. A Memorial Service will be held for George at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, in the main Chapel at the Veterans Hospital in Westwood, Calif. A Celebration of life will follow at 12 noon at the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant at Van Nuys Airport. In lieu of flowers it would please George if you took that money and gave it to a veteran you know. He always felt that we should do more for our vets any time we can.
