PAYNE, Charles A. Born June 21, 1936, in Dale County, Alabama. Passed away Sept. 27, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up in Skipperville, Alabama and went to Ozark High School. He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He began his career as a medic and retired in 1974, out of George Air Force as Military Hospital Administrator. Chuck was an avid bowler and a strong supporter of the Republican party. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 12 years. Survived by his wife Ima Jean Payne, sons Alan Kent (Keily) Payne of Lancaster, Calif., Robert Wyatt of Redding, Calif., Gary (Jennifer) Wyatt of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Craig (Dana) Wyatt of Hemet, Calif., daughters Diane Howell of Columbus, Ohio, Carol (Steve) Schupp of Superior, Montana, grandchildren Jessica Moore, Kristopher Monti, Ashley Renee Payne, Jacob Payne and Seth Payne. Also survived by sister Debbie (David) Thorne of Dothan, Ala. Preceded in death by parents Marion and Mable Payne. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster. Graveside services will be held at at 12:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Joshua Memorial Park.
