Obituary Notices and Memorials

TIMMERMANS, Hubert T. 'Tim' Passed away peacefully into the hands of our Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 5, 2010. Tim, as he liked to be called, was born in New York City on October 5, 1919, and was raised in the Long Island, New York area. Following his graduation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with an education as an aeronautical engineer, he pursued his passion of flying. He worked for Eastern Airlines before serving in both the Royal Air Force and the Army Air Corps as a pilot throughout World War II. After the war, he pursued a career primarily in the aerospace industry and his path led him to Tucson, Arizona, where he and his wife raised a family of four children. He changed his career to the real estate business in the early 1970's, and was a broker-owner for Red Carpet & Associates Realty. Following his retirement, he came to the Antelope Valley area in 1988, where he enjoyed the rest of his days. It was during this period that he was given the opportunity to serve in an advocate role for both Secure Horizons and SCAN health plans. He loved the opportunity to meet others and share about his experiences. He is survived by his son and three daughters and their respective families. Tim maintained a good sense of humor and truly enjoyed the company of others. He was a caring father and will be greatly missed by those who had the opportunity to be with him. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2010, at the Father Serra Parish, 42121 North 60th St. West, Lancaster. Arrangements entrusted to Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Palmdale.
