JOBE, Harlin Born May 8, 1924, in Atkins, Ark. Passed away August 31, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, in the 479th Anphian Truck Co., 1st Eng. Spc Brigade, made Invasion of Normandy Omaha Beach. He retired from the military in 1965. His second retirement was in 1986, from AVHMC where he worked in the Engineering Dept., as a Steam Engineer. He liked to garden. In his younger days up until 2008, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his son and family. He also has a special affection for his little Yorkies 'Tiger and Pooh'. He is survived by his wife Mary Klaer, son Larry Jobe (Cathy) of Lancaster, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sister Mary R. Dickenman of Atkins, Ark., brother Lamarr (Ruth) Jobe of New Umn, Texas, nephew Glenn (Gayle) Austin of Conway, Ark., step-son Sam Zoda and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster. Interment will be held in Atkins, Ark. His final resting place will be in Bells Chapel Cemetery, in the family plot. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations in Harlins name may be made to Bells Chapel Cemetery Att: Tom Willcutt, 1908 W. Main, Atkins, AR 72823.
