GARDNER, Lee S.
Lee Gardner, a strategic thinker for the U.S. Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base and a passionate advocate for people with disabilities, passed away peacefully at the age of 63, surrounded by his family at the USC University Hospital August 24, 2010. For more than 25 years, Gardner dedicated himself to the mission of the Air Force Flight Test Center and to his personal mission to make Edwards a good place to live and work for people with disabilities, as well for the able-bodied members of Team Edwards. Gardner is survived by his wife, Darcy S. Painter; his daughter, Leslie A. Gardner; his mother, Vera N. Gardner and brothers, Joel R. Gardner and Brian D. Gardner. There will be a Memorial Service celebrating his life at 6 p.m., on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at Grace Chapel, 44648 15th Street West, Lancaster.
