KUNZ, Donald L.
Sept. 11, 1927 ~ July 19, 2010
Donald L. Kunz was born Sept. 11 1927. Died peacefully at his home in Boise, Idaho on July 19, 2010, after a prolonged illness, progressive supranuclear palsy. In 1952, he married his wife Nettie, and through the almost 58 years together they had 3 children. Kimberly Larue (Craig), of Idaho,Kevin (Beckie), of Colorado, and Kelly Jordan (Glenn), of Lancaster. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren and two on the way. He retired from the Air Force in 1964. then went to work for U.S. Borax, after retiring from U.S. Borax he moved to Lancaster and went into real estate. He worked for Doug Anderson Century 21 as a manager for many years. In 1980, he began playing Santa Claus, he went to the local hospitals, schools, homes, and was the Santa Claus in the local parades, and donated the proceeds
for his services to Grace Resource Center. Cremation services were held July 23, 2010, in Boise Idaho. His ashes are resting in Veteran's Cemetery Memorial Wall. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Grace Resource, and the Domestic Violence Shelter.
