BREEDING, JOHN M.
BREEDING, John M., 78, of Nampa, Idaho, formerly a long time resident of Lancaster, California died Friday, July 16, 2010, in a Nampa Hospital due to natural causes. Born in Yakima, Washington, his family moved to the Santa Clara Valley in California where he graduated from San Jose High School, San Jose, California in 1949. After graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force and became an XRay Technician from 1950 to 1953, spending a year in the Philippines. In 1955, he met and married his wife Sally. They had a family of 3 sons and 1 daughter. In 1957, he decided to make a career of the Air Force as an XRay Technician until his retirement in 1976. He served in Germany during the 1962-1964 conflict. Vietnam 1968-1969, and many places in the U.S. He was stationed at Edwards Air Force Base from November 1969 until July 1976. While there, he was active as a manager of Hospital baseball and basketball teams, bringing them to 1970 Base Champs. He coached/managed Babe Ruth Little League baseball teams for his sons. Was a member of the Edwards riding club, he and two of the children were active in Gymkhanas. He was first one to have a baby horse born at stables to one of his horses. An exciting event. After retirement from the Air Force, he continued his career as an XRay technician in various hospitals in Lancaster/Palmdale area until civilian retirement in 1996. He bought the Rifle Shop in Palmdale from 1983 - 1990. John spent many happy years trap shooting, hunting, and fishing trips with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 54 years and 2 sons, Ryan and Ron, 2 daughter-in-laws, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna and a son Brett, his parents, a brother and 3 sisters. Always a joke on his lips. He will be missed. John is to be cremated and his remains placed in 4 Budweiser Clydesdale Steins. A private family gathering will be held for remembrances of a full life. Condolences can be sent to P.O.
