GIRL, Erland A., born February 25, 1925, in Rockford, Nebraska. Passed away July 2, 2010, in Acton, Calif. He grew up in Corpus Christy, Texas went to school at LA City College. He served in the Navy during World War II as a Radio Operator during the Invasion of Normandy. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 28 years and was a general contractor and carpenter. He enjoyed gardening, baseball card collecting. He was a loving husband, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survived by his wife Patricia J. Girl, son George A. Girl of Acton, Calif., daughters Victoria (Girl) Peterson of Acton, Calif., Lisa M. Girl of Acton, Calif., grandchildren Steven Leonard, Zachary Hill, Katie Cannon, Crystal Girl, Marilyn Rossi, Vickie Nunez and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Ian Girl. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
