Obituary Notices and Memorials

KUPFER, Kori Lee 32, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2010. She was born November 17, 1977, to Lee and Carol Kupfer in Cedar City, Utah where she spent the majority of her childhood years. At 18 she moved to Las Vegas where she met her life's love, Rick Silva, and they have been together ever since. Kori was a bright light in this world with a creative hand, a compassionate heart and lively spirit. Her beautiful smile, charming laugh and sparkling eyes could brighten any day. She cherished the mountains, and all aspects of nature. She loved her family, treasured her many pets, and she devoted so much of herself to all of them. Kori treated everyone as an equal; but she especially stood up for the underdog and protected the innocent. She enjoyed helping people. She was a Peer Mentor at the local MHA Discovery Center in Palmdale. There was no truer friend or genuinely kind person. She is preceded in death by: grandfather, Ross Berry; grandmother, Nola Kupfer; grandmother, Arlene Lopez. She is survived by Rick Silva, Lee Kupfer, Carol Alred, and the hundreds of members in each of their families. Condolences and guest book comments can be made at Southern Utah Mortuary of Cedar City's website. In the spirit of Kori's compelling love for animals-- in lieu of flowers please consider donations to Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary in her name or any local non-profit rescue or shelter.
