MORRIS, George Wesley Born June 4, 1938, in Memphis, Tenn. Passed away June 6, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up and went to school in Memphis, Tenn., and has lived in the Antelope Valley for 28 years. He worked for Los Angeles County, enjoyed golf, fishing, shipping, reading his Bible, spending tons of time with his family, and ministering to others about God. He was a wonderful and remarkable God fearing man who loved everyone, especially his kids and grandkids. Many people recognized him for his daily phone calls. 'Hey Im just calling to see how everybodys doing... Hows the weather out there' whatever it was he just wanted to talk. He will be dearly missed by many and unable to be forgotten. Survived by his daughters Natalie Morris of Whittier, Calif., Kenya Jones of Eunice, La., Simmone Cooper of Redondo Beach, Calif., Venus Morris of Lancaster, Calif., 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers and 3 sisters, parent Gustava J. Morris of Los Angeles, Calif. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 14, 2010, at Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster. Services will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Total Deliverance Church of God and Christ.
