BOGART, Donald R., age 71 of Lancaster, Calif. Passed away on April 28, 2010, at home. Born October 19, 1938, in Butler, Pa. He was the son of Roy A. Bogart and Frances M. Minteer Bogart late of Bath, N.Y. He is survived by an older brother John F. Bogart and his wife Carolyn (Brush) of Bath, N.Y., sisters Susan (Walter) Denley of Atlanta, Ga., and Jane Bogart of Bath, N.Y. Donald was a retiree of Northrop Grumman where he had worked after returning from Vietnam where he had worked for General Dynamics of Rochester N.Y., from June of 1964 to June 1972. He graduated from Haverling High School in Bath, N.Y., in 1957, and attended Rochester Institute of Technology prior to General Dynamics. Donald served in the U.S. Navy and served on DD872, the USS Forrest Royal, being honorably discharged on October 7, 1959. Donald was a member of the Lancaster Masonic Lodge #437 of California, Eastern Star, The Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite of Pasadena, The Shriners as well as the American Legion Post #173 of Bath, N.Y. Burial will be in Bath, N.Y., in the family plot at the Nondaguia Cemetery, at a later date in June.
