ERVIN, Rodney
Born March 25, 1955, in Oxnard, Calif. Passed away May 30, 2010, in Santa Barbara, Calif. He grew up in Camarillo, Calif., attending Rio Mesa High School, AV College and graduating from CSUN. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 34 years, where he was a teacher for the Lancaster School District for 21 years. He received the honor of Teacher of the year, he loved to camp, play video games, cook and be with family and friends. Survived by his partner Jerry Smith, sons Jason Ervin of Springdale, Ark., Steven Ervin of Quartz Hill, six grandchildren, Jason Rodney Ervin, Kerynn Ervin, Lilly Ervin, Kendra Ervin, Olivia Ervin, Tannar Ervin and his twin brother Roger Ervin of Palmdale. A commemoration will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at The Vineyard Christian Fellowship.
