Obituary Notices and Memorials

PARKHILL, Ace E. Born October 12, 1936, in Gainesville, Texas. Passed away at his home in California City on April 29, 2010. He has lived in the Antelope Valley since 1974, and was a proud member of the National Rifle Association, loved to ride his motorcycle on and off the road, and he enjoyed family camping outings at Kern River. Ace was 'Grampa' to all who knew him. Children meant so much to him. He always had time to fix a broken bike for a child or pass out a cookie to every child that he saw playing on the street where he lived. He always said there is nothing in this world more important than the life of a child. He watched them play and picked them up when they fell down. He said he was sad about leaving this world because there were so many kids that would never know who he was. He is survived by his wife Diane, 11 children, 26 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren, plus one on the way. Friends may contact a family member for funeral arrangements.
