THOMAS, James L. of Lancaster, Calif., passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010, after a long fight with congestive heart failure. He was born in Greenwood, Mississippi , April 23, 1938. James is survived by his wife, Bonnae Thomas of Lancaster, his two sons Dale Thomas of Lancaster, Ken Thomas and his wife Traci Thomas of Santa Clarita and his daughter Wendy Thomas of Santa Clarita. He is also survived by his sister Frances Drapeaux and her husband Lucky Drapeaux of South Dakota. James had one grandson, his pride and joy, Dillon James Thomas of Santa Clarita. James was a long time resident of Lancaster, Calif., since 1948. He worked in the Antelope Valley as a real estate agent for over 18 years and was a member of GAVAR. Prior to that, James worked in construction for over 25 years and was co-owner of Swaim Thomas Development. James was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and could be seen most weekends at his grandsons hockey games. A Memorial Service will be held for James L. Thomas at 3 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Halley-Olsen-Murphy Chapel, 44802 N. Date Ave, Lancaster, Calif.
