BARNES, Raymond Earl, born Nov. 12, 1918, in Akron, Ohio. Passed away April 25, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up in LaCresenta and Auburn, Calif., attending school in Auburn. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 32 years. He enjoyed hunting, camping, auto racing, prospecting, reading, and was a avid outdoorsman. Survived by his children Ross Barnes of Rosamond, Calif., Roger Barnes of Estes Park, Colo., Connie Eyrich of Littleton, Colo., and Wendy McKinney of Lancaster, Calif. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Sarah. Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m., (today) Friday, April 30, 2010, at Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Chapel Lancaster, with a graveside service to follow at 1:30 p.m., at Lancaster District Cemetery, Lancaster.
