CHEROM, Josephine DePalma Born February 23, 1925, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. She passed away peacefully on March 31, 2010, surrounded by her family. Jo was married to William (Bill) Cherom in 1949, after her graduation from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in chemistry. His career in aerospace engineering took them to San Diego, Cincinnati, and New Mexico, before they settled in Lancaster in 1964, with their young family. Jo re-entered the work force in 1976, and greatly enjoyed her work at Antelope Valley Hospital until her retirement in 1991. Jo was predeceased by her husband Bill and is survived by her children: son Bill (Gayle) of San Diego and daughters Stephanie (Mark) of San Diego and Suzanne (Phillip) of Santa Barbara. Jo was an extraordinary individual and will be greatly missed by those that knew her. Per her wishes, all services were private. Should anyone wish, donations can be made in Jo's name to the gift foundation of Antelope Valley Hospital.
