PARKE, Ruth After a long and courageous battle with cancer Ruth passed away in her home at the age of 85 on April 9, 2010. Her fighting spirit never left her and her strength will be remembered by all. Ruth is survived by her children Ellen, Eddie and Kathy, her dearly loved brother Eric, her grandchildren Wendy, Kelli, Christine, Eddie, Amie and Missy and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Grace. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children Edward Roseberry, her loving second husband Ken Parke, her brother Walley, sister Carol and loving grandson Teddy. Ruth was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Ruth moved to Sierra Madre, California in 1949, later moved to San Fernando Valley where she raised her children and finally settled in Palmdale, California. She loved the warmth of sunny California. Ruth successfully owned and operated Santa Clarita Travel. She had a passion for travel. Ruth was a kind, caring and generous woman who will be missed by all that knew her. A Remembrance will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Cascades Rancho Vista Golf Club for her family and friends.
