REUNITZ, Joann Foster Born October 28, 1922, in Denver, Colorado. Passed away April 9, 2010, in Redlands, Calif. She grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado and went to the University of Colorado. She lived in the Antelope Valley from 1955 to 1974, teaching third grade in Acton with the Agua Dulce Union School District for over 30 years. She started the preschool program in the Antelope Valley in association with AV College in the 1950s. She retired to Prescott, Ariz., where she continued to teach literacy to adults and English as a second language, tutored at the Yavapai Reservation in Prescott. Active with meals on wheels, fund-raising for the local library and making scrapbooks for children who were in the hospital. Survived by sons Keith Frederick Reunitz of Ludell, Kansas, Gordon Paul Reunitz of Lucell, Kansas, daughter Linda Reunitz Dryer (David) of Yucaipa, Calif., grandchildren Melanie, Kristi, David Alexander, Sarah and Grace. Preceded in death by her son David George Reunitz. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m., to 1 p.m., with services beginning at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 15, 2010, both at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, burial to follow services.
