GROMAN, Laura Lee, Born December 4, 1956, in Victoria, Texas. Passed away February 22, 2010, at Antelope Valley Hospital, Lancaster, Calif. She grew up in Redlands, Calif., and has lived in the Antelope Valley for 24 years. Laura was the light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She went to school for thirty straight years, achieving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Performance on Clarinet and Saxaphone, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. She was employed by Walt Disney, Datron Systems, Hughes, Northrup-Grumman, Lockheed and at Amps a San Diego firm as a stress analyst. She was a long distance commuter for 16 years, she pursued interest in her dogs, golfing, skiing and running (3 times a week for 24 years). Recently she designed and contracted construction of her new home. She was killed on February 22, 2010, in a traffic accident. She is survived by her mother Fay Groman Hatfield (Merton) of Columbia, S.C., 2 brothers, Randy Groman, Clifford Groman, and her husband Don Markley. There will be no services. Arrangements entrusted to Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster.
