BRANDNER, Helmut 'Brad' Born October 2, 1915, in Fallon, Montana. Passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 14, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. He grew up in Montana and California graduating from Burbank High School. He has lived in the Antelope Valley for 55 years, 50 of those years working in the Aircraft/Aerospace Industry working at Douglas, North American, Lockheed and Boeing. He retired as a Flight Inspector from Boeing in 1981. He was a member of the Elks for over 30 years and local Moose organization. Brad was a very loving, devoted and compassionate person. He and his wife, Gerry, taught ballroom dancing the valley residents for 17 years. They traveled with friends and family throughout the world including over 30 cruises. He leaves behind is beloved wife Gerry of 53 years, sons, Larry Brandner of Las Vegas, Nev., and Timothy Brandner of Oregon, daughters Diane (Richard) Pool of Diamond Bar, Calif., and Darlene (Richard) Lee of Lake Arrowhead, Calif., 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents John and Rosina Brandner, and daughter Sandra Benson, 7 brothers and 3 sisters. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2010, with Memorial Service at 1 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2010, both at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, 808 E. Lancaster Blvd., Lancaster. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at Inglewood Cemetery.
