DE GREAVE, George age 82, passed away February 10, 2010, in Quartz Hill, California. George was born September 17, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan and was a long time resident of the Antelope Valley. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. George had a 25 year career as a Deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department and retired in 1980. He loved wood working and was a member of the Lancaster Elks Lodge BPOE 1625, Palmdale American Legion, and the VFW Post 3000. George is survived by his wife Joan of Quartz Hill, two sons and one daughter, Jerry De Greave and his wife Lisa of Marysville, Washington, Donna Halls and her husband Fred of Lancaster, Mark De Greave of Quartz Hill, one brother and one sister, Donald De Graeve of Santa Clarita, Lorraine Langdon and her husband Mike of Victorville, four grandchildren, Micheal De Greave and his wife Amy, Shawn and Katrina De Greave, all of Marysville Washington, Sandra Conklin of Lancaster, four great- grandchildren, Riley, Mackensie, Levi, and Vanessa. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster Chapel.
