ANDERSON, Leonard Roy, 81, of Mtn. Lake Park, Md., died Friday, February 12, 2010, at his residence. Born June 18, 1928, in Mitchell, S.D., he was the son of the late Martin Roy and Frances (Tedford) Anderson. He is also preceded in death by his step-mother, Olive Anderson. Mr. Anderson was an aircraft tooling engineer for Lockheed, who retired December 28, 1986, after 42 years and he also drove dump truck during the building of the Cascade Dam. He was a Boy Scout, Sea Scout and a member of the V.F.W. Mr. Anderson was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lou (Hornbeck) Anderson; two sons, Terry Lynn Anderson, Mtn. Lake Park; James Leonard Anderson, Woodway, Texas; four daughters, Donna Sue Stallings, Accident, M.D.; Barbara Jean Hall and Julie Eileen Cusack, both of Lancaster, Calif., and Lori Gail Harris, North Carolina; two half-brothers, Larry Anderson, Lead, South Dakota; Don Anderson, Bell Fourche, South Dakota; a half-sister, Joyce Nelson, Belle Fourche; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, M.D., on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will be at a later date in California.
