CLARK, WILLIAM ALLEN BILL
CLARK, William Allen 'Bill' Died suddenly on the evening of January 15, 2010, in Lancaster, California. Bill was born August 22, 1947, to Ray and Lillian Clark in Long Beach, California. He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1965, before joining his brother, 'Bobby,' in the Pro Shop at Antelope Valley Country Club in 1968. Following a brief stint selling cars in the Valley, Bill headed to Los Angeles where he attended law school at the San Fernando Valley College of Law, graduating in 1976, and becoming a member of the State Bar in 1978. He began his criminal law practice in Palmdale shortly thereafter and it was then that he met the love of his life, Sandra (Hill). He was a proud member of the Lancaster Elks Lodge and the United Methodist Church. He ran for Municipal Court Judge in 2000, and was sworn in to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court in May 2004. He picked up his passion for golf again a decade or so ago and said his brother was his greatest golf partner, sharing many a tee off at dawn. He was recently confirmed as one of a handful of candidates awaiting appointment for Court Commissioner in L.A. County. He was never far from Sandi in body or spirit and shared many adventures around the world in their 30 years of marriage. Bill lived to pin on his eldest daughters badge as police officer, walk his youngest daughter down the aisle, meet his oldest sons bride-to-be, and share the stage with his youngest son. He is survived by his wife Sandi, his daughters Heather and Anthea (Allen Fountain), sons Allen (Lindsay Bork) and Matthew, grandchildren Ashlyn and Aiden, brother Robert and his wife Janice, and several nephews and nieces. Not to mention his innumerable friends, making them was one of his greatest gifts. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, January 22, 2010, at the Antelope Valley Country Club, 39800 Country Club Drive, Palmdale, CA 93551, with a reception to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Matthew Clark College Trust Fund, 42257 N. 6th St. W. #304, Lancaster, CA 93534. Arrangements entrusted to Halley-Olsen-Murphy Funerals & Cremations, Lancaster, Calif. www.halleyolsenmurphychapels.com
