MATHERLY, David Kildow age 66, passed away December 12, 2009, in Lancaster, California. He was born May 16, 1943, in Hollywood, California and grew up in Inglewood, California. David graduated from Lennox High School Class of 1960, and went on to graduate from Brigham Young University in 1965. He received his Doctorate in Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry and has been an Optometrist for 36 years in the Antelope Valley. David was a member of the Lancaster Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities over the years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and good man to all and is survived by his wife Marchele, two sons and two daughters, Frank (Mary) Puffenberger, Alicia (Robert) Lewis, James and Kaydee Matherly, one sister, Donna Matherly, seven grandchildren, Krystal and Klayton Allen, Marilyn Lewis, Danny, Samuel, and Kara Puffenberger, and Chloe Lewis. A Visitation from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m., with Funeral services starting at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2009, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1701 West Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster, with interment to follow at Joshua Memorial Park. Arrangements by Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster.
