Obituary Notices and Memorials

LODGE, George Began his next journey on Dec. 8, 2009, at his North Hollywood home. George was 43, and born January 6, 1966, in Lancaster, Calif., to George and Sylvia Lodge. A 1983, graduate of Paraclete High School, George obtained a degree in Business Administration from California State University Sacramento in 1989. He had been employed at Edwards Air Force Base for Unisys and ultimately left to pursue his own interests as Owner of SAGE Senior Planning Services. George loved spending time with his animals, reading, singing, going to the theatre, shopping, riding trains, traveling, his Apple products and an 'I love Lucy' fanatic. An inspiration to all who knew him, George lived by his favorite quote that 'you should be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind'. George is survived by his best friend, roommate and partner in crime, Charlie Schlafke, aunts Helen Reagan and Marcia Decker, cousins Gary Herndon and Sue Decker and a multitude of friends who were greatly enriched by his gentle presence. A celebration of Georges life will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at the Barnsdall Theatre, 4800 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, Calif.
