Qualifers set for 97th Cal Amateur title tourney

The Southern California Golf Association continues to release the individuals qualifying for the 97th California Amatuer Championship.

The list includes youngsters from all over Southern California and will continue to grow as the prep season's competition wraps up over the next few weeks.

Quartz Hill High School's Austin Raanes missed qualifying while shooting a 78 at Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda.

Also just missing was Highland's Corey Helfer who shot a 73 at Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena.

The Championship event will take place June 16-21 at Lakeside Golf Club and Oakmont Country Club.
