Free hike, astronomy event set at preserve

LANCASTER - Jeremy Amarant, director of the SAGE Planetarium, will lead guests on a free one-mile walk along the trails of the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The walk will begin at the Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center.

The group will be stopping at various locations to allow Amarant to share his knowledge of the stars, planets and solar systems.

Antelope Valley Astronomy Club members will place their telescopes in the parking lot for a closer look at the night sky. The Prime Desert Woodland Preserve is at 43201 35th St. West, at Avenue K-8.
