THE CLASSROOM Air Force officers on the way to class at the Test Pilot School at Edwards Air Force Base pass by this constant reminder of how flying is learned - a Lockheed T-33 jet trainer. The 1950s vintage flying classroom had just two seats - one for a pupil and one for a teacher. The trainer was derived from Lockheed's original jet figher, the F-80 Shooting Star.
